get models that cover entire range of body types as best you can

and then when you're shopping online just select which model you want to see all the clothes in as you scroll through

and you can select multiple models to view at the same time, or one model

just a cool idea. idk

i find that the clothing i pick to buy is often skewed by me liking the way it looks on that particular model, or i'll buy somthing more often when it is on the model i like the appearance of subconciously.

so it would be helpful to see all the items in your fave model so that way you know you're not jus tliking something because you like the model lol

Why would companies pay more than one model? Their goal is to make money not make the consumer feel good. If the consumer buys something that looks good on the model, but not on them, the company still makes money.

Sc is pretty boring.

clothes wouldn't sell if ugly or fat models wore them

we buy clothing after seeing hot people wear them because it tricks us into believing we might ever be as hot as them

this is quite a retarded idea especially for someone who does nothing but yap about fashion all day

I disagree.  People are feeling increasingly alienated from traditional advertisement.  The veneer of uniformity has become uncomfortably apparent to a population that's having a sort of renaissance of self-awareness, including on a physical level.  Even things like the mass availability of porn, especially shown in the rapid shift of public preference towards amateur porn, has contributed to the disillusionment about mainstream media standards.  As people become more aware of the vast range of body shapes, and that idea normalizes in our culture, the Hollywood model looks more and more ridiculous, and people are reaching out for something more relatable.  Relatability is king these days, in a lot of ways.  And this appearance of more and more face and body types in media is not just corporations buckling to what is, realistically, an easily subverted pressure from a relatively small minority group of body acceptance activists.  The fact is, if these "alternative" models weren't making them money, they wouldn't be doing it.

Why not just have a program that has you put in your measurements to generate a 3D model that wears it?

What merit does it have as "an idea" when it's faulty though?

That's probably where we're headed for things like online shopping, but in terms of wider public advertising, the variation will still have to be a limited selection meant to appeal to as many members of the target audience as possible.

 Ideas generate ideas.
