Socialization of Being

In the view of the common Man it is not enough to commodify Being, we must also socialize it. The hopes of this socialization are in no way an undoing of being’s commodification. Socialization doesn't end beings commodification it only attempts to allow some greater sharing in it. Its sharing hopes to create not only equality but also true equity among beings. Socialization needs commodified beings to socialize and as such the commodifier and socializer necessarily exist in a singular dialectic, hence the goal set out can never become actuality. The illusion goes further as it treats beings as material and as such solutions to the problem of being as wholly material.

Well, identity roles in society can be quite meaningless but at ones core you may still know who you are and be able to attach meaning to your name still, defining who you are easily as the outline of a shape which you are familiar with, and you can recognize as yourself. Conceptually.

But for some we can experience detachment even from this, it goes beyond ego death, it is total loss of the person you are.

Which is common in ptsd, borderline personality, and trauma in general.

I would consider what you went through medically to be considered a trauma, very much so. Physiologically and psychologically. And I think you may be now dealing with the inertia effects of that trauma such as questioning identity and asking things about being a butterfly.

that’s just my take on it though, could be totally unrelated and perhaps you are grounded in who you are but still is philosophical for other reasons.

But this very mechanical functionalist view of society you’ve talked about and, this detachment from identity you mention. In combination it can be dangerous if you don’t handle it well or it becomes too extreme
