We need more fetuses for stem cell research, all of them should be aborted for like 3 years, no more infants for 3 years.

Aside from the civil rights implications, I don't think this is a terrible idea. Not to enforce abortions (kinda legally indefensible), but to use them all for stem cell research.

I don't think you'd need to mandate them for it to be an effective policy, they're super common.

They can be made in labs, we just haven't perfected the technology yet. Maybe make the ones we have mandatory for stem cell research use. There were 862,000 in the USA in 2017.

Chapo, the answer to why three years is probably political—since it closely follows the four-year presidential term—and could successfully be funded so long.

Nearly each successive president in our lifetime has “banned” stem cell research. It was a big deal when Obama overturned Bush’s ban. I believe Trump banned fetal tissue research in 2019.

Here’s also why it’s so controversial: “Designer babies”

Remember when a Chinese scientist claimed the first gene-edited babies by altering the genomes of CLONED, human embryos?

He was sentenced to three years imprisonment.

No he wasn't, he didnt interviews saying that was just a rumor and he was living his life completely normal.

Do you think *China* of all countries would punish a doctor for making super-smart genetically altered clones?

I see no proof that he was NOT imprisoned. (Fake news) All of the news media (and still to this day wiki) report his imprisonment. Thanks for playing.

His interview was literally posted on this forum when it happened.

Edit: nvrmind. There were rumors he was arrested around the time it was announced and he said in an interview he wasn't. Looks like he was jailed 9 months later after all.

Gotta focus... I'm shifting into soup mode...

Are you implying these races fetuses are not good enough for stem cell research?

Yes I'm a big proponent of locally harvested fair-trade fetuses
