Since the French revolution we've established tenets that our society depends on, the most notable is the fundamental principle that each individual has worth, regardless of their gender, religion or political affiliation. As an individual you derive your worth simply from being a conscious being. That's our liberal society, right
Not every culture agrees with this principle, so if other cultures mix into ours and e.g. have people that refuse to shake the hand of someone of the opposite sex, should we allow them to express their freedom or should be not tolerate their intolerance?
I am aware that this is not ground breaking but I cannot find a satisfying conclusion to this conundrum
