Why is NATO taking a stance in US politics?
Because Europeans want to renegotiate how much money they have to pool in for Americans to defend their continent.
This has worried me do to the complexity.
Europe has overextended itself and bit of more than it can chew, as such has created an Existential crises between it, Russia, and Turkey.
There's two proxy wars on European soil now...
Simultaneously their banks were already twice as levered as U.S. banks before Corona and have since extended their balance sheets just as much as we have.
In all actuality the EU project doesn't seem stable, and at this rate U.S. global monetary control is waning while China is collapsing itself trying to compete. When that bomb explodes the EU is done unless they've taken the proper precautions and financially they are not.
So what's to become of Nato when Turkey is a Nato country threatening Europe and the EU is busted?
This is going to be a horrifying couple of decades and Covid is only the start.
I see a breeten woods situation coming.
