What Happened to LG Hub Bot?

Was it just too weird for 2017, ahead of it's time perhaps? Too much like Wall-E? 

 

I think this is really cool. But if this is what we had in 2017, why do we have the alexa as it is today which looks like a mini TV or a speaker? 

 

Where's all the cool future-y stuff

It must have been a bad market decision and ended up scrapped. I liked the idea LG had here, though. I think there's a lot more room for companies to get creative with design.
