I wrote somewhere here last year how Rudy Giuliani was going to prosecute Biden in connection with his Son over his quid pro quo with Ukraine. He mentioned back then ( like 11 months ago ) how he has evidence to bring him down.
With that in mind, Rudy's timing on the matter is very calculated and well executed.
Some of you don't know this, but Joe Biden is off the radar and in hiding right now. He's avoiding the reporters who will question him.
Not to mention this Thursday, Biden has a date with Trump on live TV for Debate 2.

Here's my guess.
They will insist that Trump stay on topic. Trump will refuse and talk about what he wants. Someone might walk out on the debate, either Trump does it from bring muted, or Biden will over Trump's mannerisms toward him.
2nd Guess.
Biden might play the illness card, possibly COVID-19.
3rd guess.
The debate closes with both men in tact.
