This is all going a bit fast, isn't it? You aren't worried that the nature of this could change once the Honeymoon effects transition towards more maturely romantic themes?
If you really want a ring for cheap though, there's always the classic 1950s Crackerjack rings: 
1960s went away from the gemstones but still made some interesting designs:
