as a queen of handling and garnering negative attention I can safely say both of these "scandals" were extremely purposeful and used to draw attention to the person, not the brand. they didnt care if the brand got negative attention ad long as they themselves were getting attention in general. and both Jaclyn Hill and the Kardashian/Jenners have a history of scandals that drew negative attention on purpose. that is all
also, look at these fucking gross ass lipsticks. not only is it 1 color of hair but they added black hair too, and mold that would pass cosmetic safety inspection that she had papers she used as evidence her products were safe for and it was all intentional this wasn't an accident lol
