to respond to your question, it doesn't appear to be getting much hype at all. these products do typically sell out though and so the demand might be there in small portions for resell value. 

I ended up not getting it. I just saw my chance she was dropping new products that day sobi thought maybe I could make a quick buck on it. It seems as far as kylie cosmetics go people dont care about anything but the lip kits. 

I see Urban decay released a new Naked palette but not a collection of other products to go with it which is unusual. I have a theory they will release an Ultraviolet holiday collection. If they do I want it, but to offset the cost I will buy two and sell each item individually from the extra to make a little bit. 

You have mkre experience selling make up releases than I do, does this sound like a decent plan?

I fucking want the complete UD Naked cherry collection but that is looong gone. Im hoping someone will have similar sentiments for the prophesied ultraviolet collection and will pay an upcharge when it inevitably sells out

Unfortunately everyone looking at makeup online is looking for a deal. And there is such an onslaught of products that you really have to market yourself as a makeup seller to possibly make a sale. 

So what I’ve noticed is bundling highly coveted items together, and then searching for groups on Facebook that do nothing but buy sell and talk about makeup and trading groups are a great place to get your products sold 

people place a greater interest in complete collections there rather than individual products, that are new and authenticity can be proven. 

Some of these groups are private and you have to request invitation to, and you can find out about them by searching through Facebook, Facebook marketplace sellers

mercari Depop eBay craigslist and poshmark are apps you can list on as well but 

they don’t have as much success as Facebook pages do where you post what you’re selling on the page to interested buyers in bundles. These are makeup collectors and people who buy and sell makeup as like a consistent hobby. 

Also there is makeup reddit, Twitter Instagram and YouTube which I highly recommend advertising your sales on.

the problem is most of the time it’s people letting go of stuff they personally don’t use simply to afford more makeup more than it is an actual business with profit 

and right now I have noticed the online resale value of makeup has gone down and people aren’t buying anything 

there isn’t a lot of hype behind products rn to the point people are looking for it so that’s why I say find the collectors

as far as the ultraviolet collection, urban decay released an ultraviolet palette already idk if you’re aware but it’s purple. And the reviews did really poorly people weren’t satisfied with the color pay off and the lack of actual shade variation to work with. It’s a very light wash of color. Very pastel. 

Urban decay has been on a downward spiral since their cherry collection, and so that brand I would say would be a miss as far as selling things online from them go.

a hot product right now is Patrick ta’s blushes as they sold out. So look for things on Sephora that are sold out but newly just launched- as that’s a sign of rapid sales, high demand, and potentially something coveted you could make a little revenue on.

also on these makeup Facebook pages you could possibly find someone willing to trade an urban decay cherry product or two for something you have but 

it was honestly a really loved collection so it will be hard to find it as people probably aren’t as quick to get rid of theirs
