What shit's scarier to you right now than being broke and homeless? 

I'd figure your familiarity with it would motivate you to avoid it more, not less. 

The fuel thing sucks though, those costs really pile up, plus far drives are stressful and cumulative in their own right. 

yeah once you've tasted homelessness you start to work your ass off out of ptsd from the whole experience 

and sometimes live with a life long habit of operating out of scarcity that's hard to break
