THIS SET WAS NOT $140 ORIGINALLY. I'm pretty sure $32 was the original price! Unfortunately I don't have screenshots of the old price, but I do have:

So $66 for the set was only a few dollars less than what it would cost to buy this palette and brush set separately... all Colourpop sets really only save the buyer 1 to 3 dollars.

As we can see the palette alone costs $34.

66 - 34 = $32, so we know the brushes costs around $32 before this little change. Oh... would you look at that....

Wtf I didnt know the brush set was that cheap. That’s a nice deal for people who don’t already have a lot of brushes and maybe, couldn’t normally afford something crazy expensive. That was nice of colorpop to make it affordable. Since that’s kind of the whole basis for their brand and what attracts everyone to it. It’s great products for affordable price. Well done color pop. They also look very pretty. :3

Man I am fucking suck of brands putting pigment powders into palettes and advertising them as eyeshadows when they aren't eye safe. Huda Beauty is currently under lawsuit for advertising the Neon Obsessions palettes as eyeshadow and intentionally hiding the fact they contain ingredients that are banned from eye products for causing irritation. Their misleading actions include using models wearing the palettes on their eyes for all marketing photos and even posting tutorials of how to apply the product around the eyes. On their website as well as retailers' websites the palettes are categorized in the eye product sections. No where on advertising or social media has huda beauty disclosed that these are not safe for eye use, they ONLY place the products saftey is noted is on the *Inside* of the label on the back of the palette which has to be peeled off of the product to be read. Most purchaser don't even know that the label needs to be peeled off to read the rest of the ingredient/ product information underneith. Who the fuck thinks it is okay to hide a product saftey warning on a product!

Huda is currently being sued by a customer who experienced harm to her eye area due to their misleading advertising and intentionally hiding safety warnings.
