I actually oppose the idea of Slay going into politics, or anywhere near it

The coping interacts with other people coping though, bringing about bigger things. 

The biggest issue people here have with power is keeping themselves out of it. We need our power structure to be more Anarchomonarchistic, where the one in charge is simply there to keep people from taking things too far instead of for a rush of power and a feeling of success and responsibility. 

We need it to be more like a janitor, or a garbage man, otherwise everyone smells their desperation.

 I see two things at play here. 

Jim projecting his desire for love and friends and to be accepted while I merely show off my relative success in creating a growing community. 

And second, a salty boomer trying to capitalize on the borderline's insecure remark to bandage his ego. 

Try harder. 

There's room to learn and grow from things here, if you stop thinking small.
