Kid nuking phone gets 16K upvotes on Reddit

 The clip in question:

Some people are saying that the kid is just naive, and naturally people on the Internet will troll. So he fell for a prank.

The other camp seems to be of the opinion that he was too eager to do this, and that he comes off as a psycho. I don't really see that, but a lot of people are saying it.

I was missing some crucial information.

Other clips from the broadcast have since surfaced, with one video showing the young boy grabbing his pet cat and placing it inside the microwave, even closing the door. Thankfully, he decided not to switch it on following comments from viewers telling him to stop.

Unsurprisingly, viewers were stunned, with many criticizing not only the young boy but his parents for leaving him alone in that situation and allowing him to stream on the platform at such a young age. “Where are his parents?" asked one Reddit user who went on to tag PETA, while another user commented that he was "way too excited to do it.”

This is pretty common out of young age youtubers from what I've seen of them anyway. They don't bother to hide the "did they notice me yet" face as much as their adult counterparts, but it's the same energy with less nuance otherwise.

It brings out a similar nervousness to what I saw growing up from hyperactive unpopular children, you know, the ones who go up to groups of people without any idea what they're doing wrong? It's like the con-goer who didn't catch the hint basically.

They give me something akin to the same vibes I get from Shoenice22, but less tragic.

Yeah Shoenice was...interesting.

I get the psycho vibe a lot more after finding out that he had his cat in the microwave and even closed the door, excitedly. That seems like a situation where a lot of kids would have more empathy.

Wtf why are you all putting shit in your Microwave?

Just watch d0vetastic, he's like 20 seasons into it now as his sole autistic obsession.
