I took these videos, this is my cousins dog. I fell absolutely in love with him. He sat on my lap and just chilled with me for hours. Very cuddly loving dog.

This video has inspired me to want to share everything I have learned about taking care of dogs, just from experience or from my highly paid professional and educated dog trainer. (it also makes me want to play with my dogs all day)

We didn't hire him for the shiba, he was for the two pitbulls. But yeah we went ahead and allowed apple to participate in the training as well just because he wanted to XD

he was like, 'I WANNA PLAY!" but he's very well mannered and listens very well. He didn't need it but, it was good to do some fine tuning I suppose haha he likes the classes and playing the games for treats and getting pats from the trainer. but yeah..

Pitbulls... they need to be trained or you have a real mess on your hands just because they can become very violent and destructive without guidance.

the dog to her right (my left) is like my dogs... the all black one

we saved them off of death row. they had been through the pound circuit three times each. people would take them home, and bring them back. because of how bad their behavior was, and how high maintenance they were.

we trained them and treated them well until they turned into very loyal protective and good dogs, who are docile at home.

they do need their play time and we have a large area for them to run and we fenced it in with a reinforced fence they can't climb or dig out of (because Benjamin actually has THUMBS and can climb, and can jump over a normal backyard fence LOL)

so yeah, very difficult dogs to tame but we did it with professional training and love

and I made sure the training was done gently and humane- no harm, no violence, etc.

Benjamin was actually rescued from dog fighting, and honey was neglected- he was too thin when we got him, and he was not house broken at all which leads us to believe he was likely left outside most of his young life, alone.

now they're very very happy.

we just went to the pound and said, "show me who's going today." and they brought us those two dogs.

basically in the pound, it's three strikes you're out. so they'd been returned three times, and they'd been at the pound for their longest time possible- their time was up. so sad.

the people there do everything they can to find owners or find loopholes, the employees will take home five dogs at a time and foster them temporarily or they will find other people to help. they have a foster program where you can own them temporarily just to give them more time to find a home basically.

and then they do everything they can to go out and find them homes.

but these two just, no one wanted. because of the pitbull look, and how violent they were in their cages.

Benjamin was fighting with the other dogs and had to be isolated because he put holes in them.

honey was just losing his mind in the cage and going full hulk like "GET ME OUT OF HERE DAMMIT RRRRRRRR UR GONNA LET ME OUT DAMMMIT RRRRRRR RRAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHH"

it was intense.

so yeah, they were both really daunting dogs for anyone to just nonchalantly adopt. and everyone just takes one look at their teeth, and their size, their muscle and goes, 'this dog is going to kill me in my sleep'

but yeah like I said, just took a lot of training and love and now they're totally normal dogs. they just can't go to the dog park because we are worried they will 'snap' and get into fights with dogs you know, don't want to put other dogs at risk but.

other than that, they're very normal. just took some work.
