I've never played sekiro or dmc, I've watched a friend go through most of it through discord screenshare, we've both been through all of the dark souls games.

I would say from the design, sekiro shouldn't be regarded as a real game tbh. It's a foundation and a precursor to the new combat system that will be implemented into future games teased by fromsoft

Sekiro has not anything to do with skill. It's about memorizing the moves of each opponent (mainly mini bosses and main bosses). You bait them into attacking. If they used the specific move you were waiting for that gives you a short moment to attack without taking damage, you slash them a few times at most then rinse and repeat.

I quit Sekiro when I got to the final boss. It would've taken me at least a week or two to be able to beat him. It wasn't worth it for me to waste that much time just to beat 1 opponent at which point the game would've ended anyway.

DMC5 is extremely nice, not tryhard like Sekiro. I'd suggest a Souls gamer to play it on the hardest difficulty.
