DMCA nuclear meltdown

There was a thing going on recently with Twitch streamers, they were getting retroactive warnings about DMCA claims. As in, it was fine to play copyrighted music in your stream until this week, and now all of the sudden it's not, and people are getting warnings and being threatened with bans. People are having to go through and manually delete all of their clips (sometimes hundreds of them).

That's what caught my attention initially, but it isn't just Twitch. YouTube has been getting wiped of music as well. Even Gachi songs with mainstream music as a component are being taken down. I'm not really giving much of an opinion on this because I think it's grey area where royalties are concerned, especially from a legal standpoint. I'm just pointing out a new trend.

I had a feeling this was coming once their players began to be able to identify each individual song in the videos.

A few mixed playlists where the tracks bleed into each other still confuses it sometimes, for now.

Streamers have been being hit with bullshit for a bit now.
