Like really, I don't understand what you get out of it.

Is it empowering to run away from someone?

I am above interacting with such filth

Sc is pretty boring.

No you're not you're just tuning them out from them being too much for you to handle. Why can't you respond to it otherwise with indifference, because something they did personally affected you or something?

This basically makes them the winner in your interactions with  him  them.

It's not running away, it's blocking. You can't expect predatory selfish people to change their behavior just by negotiating with them or asking them to stop. that doesn't always work and sometimes it encourages them. the best thing to do in most cases is not to respond when it is likely they are not going to change their behavior or proclaimed viewpoints. do not cast your pearls before swine, pearls in this case being your time and choice between fueling an argument with swine or ignoring it and its projections and bigoted thinking. Arguments where you can tell the person truly wants to evolve are worth having, but the ones who are hardened in their ways are a waste of time. and it's up to you to decide which is which

That being said, since it's only online, I rarely mute people except for a few minutes and I think it's silly to even do that. It is so fucking easy to ignore people online lol they have no power over you or your real life unless you give it to them. many people these days do not want to encourage triggering behaviors from others so they choose to block in order to "take a stand against bullying/psychological abuse". and I'm not against that. but for me personally since my aim isn't to be a role model for the younger generation, it's just to do what I want and have fun, and I don't really care about people trying to trigger me online I usually don't block for long. but there are times I was sensitive to it in the past before I had improved my self-esteem

Why would you need them to stop?

When Peach mutes you, do you see that as her being strong?

there was a time where I found it very entertaining to argue on sc even when I knew it would never go anywhere but I got bored of it and other online activities became more interesting. all the changes I wanted to see happen in humanity are happening. we are fucking evolving and it's exciting. there will likely be a lot less human suffering and animal and environmental abuse in the future✨beautiful

I notice a lot more of my real viewpoints are starting to come out on sociopathcommunity as I've grown bored of the trolling I used to do, intermixed with some of my old trolling I mean I havent stopped completely but it's much less than in the past. this too probably contributes to what might seem like ignoring when really i'm just growing bored of trolling as I'm maturing

I don't see blocking/muting as either strong or weak. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. in fact I don't see anything wrong with being weak personally. be as strong as is healthy for you, but like if you are at your limit why engage in something that would be damaging? that is actually weak lol, you are literally self-harming at that point when you could be moving on and spending that time being productive and happy and trying to thrive instead

I think, life is supposed to be about thriving the best you can. If you are damaged, that sucks, but make the best of it and try your best to thrive despite your limitations. self-harming is not thriving and it is something that should try to be avoided

turq is right, some people dont have the mental strength and toughness to deal with trolls so they have to block or ignore them and thats okay. you need high self esteem and a good past with a good family and good dating experiences to cope with cyber bullying of this level. when you are full of emotional scars and broken from the bad partners and people in the past and been a victim for a long time you find it hard to cope and thats ok. theres a place for fragile sensitive people in this world too.
