2. Hydroflasks
this became an internet trend, VSCO girl trend, youtubers have them, idk- everyone has specifically these bottles
and before they were popularized, I went to like an outdoor camping store and saw them- thought they were cute and wanted every color so like i bought one just to try it out
and it’s not my favorite bottle to use at all.... it’s too heavy, it’s cold and sweaty on the outside, the texture is rough and it feels gross, it makes a lot of noise when you clank it around because its metal, it makes things taste and smell like metal, the stopper thingie is hard to pull in and out so everytime you wanna take a sip you have to yank your teeth out, it’s not perfectly leak proof and doesn’t keep your shit cold over a longer period of time like Yeti’s.
In conclusion, I like YETI brand better, although hydroflasks are cute *looking* i don’t like them :/ it’s just good branding and marketing i guess???? I dont know. But it’s not any better than any normal bottle we’ve seen for years and years. It’s nothing new.
YETI is like, new technology- and i also have a coffee cup that does not condensate on the outside at all. So it doesn’t leave rings.
3. Quay sunglasses
they’re not better than ray ban when it comes to the actual functional use and technological innovation behind the product. They just look cool but in reality feel quite cheap and flimsy, and aren’t as effective as actual sunglasses. I prefer my ray bans. Just trust me.
