 They are only different if you go by social norms. For science the male gender or male sex are the same. Anyway, the question remains.

If someone wants to be called the opposite gender, I could care less. No skin off my back.

If someone decides they don't want to do that? Well, I don't care about that either.

 I will address people by their preferred gender because i dont see any positive outcome from calling them otherwise, but deep down I only believe in 2 genders. Society has become gendered, pink and barbies and shoes are girlie things and blue, trucks, and beer are manly things. When people think they are the other gender because they align more with societal stereotypes of the other gender it doesnt mean they are the other gender, because those traits arent really determined by gender, they're just made up symbolism. 

When people start making up genders like "stargender" or "autism gender"  i address them as whatever gender they look like because i think they are an attention hungry retard.

She's just speaking in a way she thinks looks complex and nuanced so she can pretend to be sophisticated.

If people don't understand her gibberish it's because they didn't get it. Med creates patterns in her mind and thinks that makes her intelligent so when she leave "hints" for other people and they can't follow, those people are simply not advanced enough to understand her.
