Generally speaking, societal conditioning towards learned helplessness tends to force a more child-like persona to find general success. 

Consequently, societal conditioning away from learned helplessness (the expected male model) increases stress and leads to misplaced stoicism that can decrease one's lifespan through unneeded stressors. 

I suspect when technology fully takes over our lives that both genders will behave more classically feminine.
