weird shit you believed as a kid/white lies you were told

When I was 9, my best friend's rabbit disappeared. Him and I both believed his parents' story that the rabbit had gone to a rabbit farm where it could play and live with all its rabbit friends. I found it a little odd but it was certainly a comforting thought.

My dad used to warn me if I ate too many sweets my asshole would seal shut

I thought for a while that clouds were in space and seeing them move was the earth spinning

maybe others but I forgot and it's super hard to recall these types of things on command because by their nature I don't analyse them

i vaguely remember grasping my own mortality, as well as the time when I didn't comprehend that I too could die

When i was 4 I understood that people were related to both their mom and dad and that babies grew inside the mother's stomach.  My younger sister and I were taught a weird concept of germs, like foreign germs could make you sick but it was okay to share food with people in the family because people in the same family have the same germs so I came up with the idea that when a mommy and a daddy kiss the boy's germs go down into the mommy's stomach and make a baby.

Guess I wasnt too far off.

When I was 4 I also thought someone was rich if they had $100. For this one I was pretty far off.

The blood on my hands covered the holes

I thought that if someone was the president their last name would change to bush

i had an irrational fear that watermelon seeds *might* cause a watermelon to grow inside me. I knew it was irrational but i still feared it XD

i took the concept of karma very literally.

I also knew this was irrational but i had an irrational fear of my stuffed animals coming to life or just things with eyes in general creeped me out and i was paranoid they were looking at me or there were demons in them or cameras or they just were malevolent or creepy creatures in some weird way that ultimately would kill me in my sleep

i had a dream once that the clock said 666 and then the devil descended down upon the earth and the end times were upon us and it was hell on earth. End times shit. So I developed an irrational fear that if the clock ever said 666 it meant we were all fucked and i would check the clock a lot to make sure it didn’t say that

i thought gum stayed in ur stomach forever and i thought that cows had 7 stomachs

I was mostly that kid that shat on people's dreams of Santa.

Insomnia gives too much time to think and too little time to dream.
