Someone's creepy when you feel threatened or uncertain about them, because they behave in a particular manner which might even be similar to yours, with the exception that they don't reveal much about themselves.

So I'm effectively less creepy because of being so open disclosure about myself? 

I disagree, I've seen plenty of creepy people narrate about their lives, usually with a sense of righteous indignation over how their lot in life was saddled onto them instead of self-inflicted.

To me creepy is someone who can't grasp personal boundaries and social cues. Someone who constantly tries to access your life without knowing you - often pushing a sexual undertone/obsession. 

We definitely have a few like that on this forum, but they don't tend to rub people as creepy. 

I think Med's our only real failure in this territory, so is it really more over how well they express this?

When someone wants to insult, but isn't willing to go the entire nine yards, it tends to transparently show where those words came from.

I prefer doing that to push the discussion further. If all I did was agree with people I'd be wasting keystrokes.

You know, I have found myself agreeing with other people quite a lot, openly, just... not typically you (can you blame me?).

I however tend to get much less interaction out of those where it'd just be preaching to the choir, so take in stride that you're clearly not boring to me. I'd rather we discuss our differences than our relationship just be one where I agree to everything you say so that I can watch you go insane over your own ideas, as our discussions make you try harder and the effort that follows it makes for a good time. 

I'd also prefer to not just say nothing for your peace of mind, I'd prefer that you and I continue to challenge each other to think harder. I've gained much from our talks personally, even at points as just a tangential prompt towards future research that'd just end up with us butting heads harder the next day. 

Your knowledge on psychology is interesting though and I did learn some new information regarding it from you :)

I've said a lot about myself during times you've been on, so the only one to really blame here... is yourself. 

I consider you an intellectual, and your knowledge of psychology is admirable. I seek to learn in more in depth.  There's not much else I could add that no one else has already stated. I'd view you as an integral part of the SC experience.

When ineffective people can have the right answers, and effective people can peddle incorrect ones, why shouldn't people focus on the appearances of their messages? 

There's millions of ways to say the exact same message, and consequently millions of ways to respond towards it. Being understood is far more important than just stating what's on your mind when it comes to communication, especially when what words someone uses will be littered in innuendo and subtext.
