Why is it so acceptable. Its cringey as shit and kinda gay. Yet nobody seems to notice it and I've seen Chads do it so wtf is going on. Is everyone else blind. It reminds me of kids playing pretend in the schoolyard
RP is cringey as fuck, unless you're rolling dice and wielding character sheets.
Doing it without that stuff just lets you do anything you want without constraints, which is about as gross as improv comedy for similar reasons.
Lol I have an account in Second Life that is 13, or 14 years old. And I will say, there is a huge Roleplaying community there, and I've got some pussy from Second Life itself. If you want some good Roleplaying with the possibility of scoring IRL, go for it, especially if you are young like FOTS. Easy game.
I never would have expected you to say that, I thouthought you were gonna say the exact opposite. Do you actually agree with me or is this just a joke or something? I'm curious what your actual opinion is
I've been playing D20 games since I was in High School, and am currently DMing a session with some friends on Mondays.
It's one of my passions, but if you can literally just do anything without health points or a gamble system for odds then what's the point, idealistic daydreaming of the most cringe? There's no suspense, no pressure, just their imagination purely if there's no game built around it to apply constraints and the appearance of risks.
Constraints are the key to passionate works, they need to feel like they're building something and have a chance based on their long term investments, and past a point it's like a video game with more options. From the lens of psychology, I can see who someone "really is" through their characters and their struggle in-setting.
"Give a man a mask character sheet and you'll see who they really are."
*licks own eyeball in anticipation*
