 but becoming a better person will make me look down on ppl anymore.

i will cut down on the making fun of ppl who live off their parents and have no achievements tho.

As an aside, it's a total follower move to insist on being a lone wolf. 

Hint: They insist upon it and make such a big deal about it because it comes unnaturally to them. A real loner isn't likely to be so chatty and noisy about how much they don't want or need other people if it's legitimate (or potentially chatty at all, really). 

I'm closer to seeing my situation as starting from a different foundation, trying to figure out what's working conventionally for other people through the filter of my own framework. There's a lot to get out of "the group", since their inability to help but be a part of it is something they can't help about themselves.
