Manipulative, or blatantly insecure to the point of selling away her own autonomy and wealth for an emotional lottery gamble? It seems more like she's just whining and begging.
For Med to have the upper hand, she'd need to have the ability to threaten the other person with her leaving. As is Med completely lacks the means of ghosting her prey, and her obsessive qualities have a smell to it. She tries making threats but she can NEVER EVER stick the landing, and anyone who sees it will quickly call her bluff.

Lena and I have been questioning how differently she'd be taken if Med were the man she wished she was born as, for a bit now.
A lot of what makes Med less dangerous is her appearance and her lack of social understanding. She otherwise with a confidence boost could be a total Chad.

literally trying to blackmail chapo, saying she'll take legal action if he doosn't communicates with her. there's a point in the chat where he hasn't responded for ages so she says 'i'm gonna report you for fraud' and he reiterates that it wasn't him, and then everytime he ignores her after that she repeats the threat.
Med has to be absolutely boiling with rage at this point. Soon she might be boiling Chapo's cats

i remember a convo with FOTS where FOTS reveals im the one who roached her and she says "oh well he will be the one to get in trouble for jims scam then" shes trying to get him in shit for what we did as revenge for chapo ignoring her and as a threat.
it must be really sad to have to threaten a man to be with you, this is why I propose we kill all women over 35, their lives are hell after that age.
