You can't live away from the society and vice versa. There is a punish and reward system. That's why the smarter people are the ammoral people according to your definition.

There's people who've dedicated temples just for this purpose.
ok, so i actually took a minute and read all of this. first thing i have to say is you're a pretty good writer, but your paragraphs are so fucking long. try keeping them around 4-5 sentences. maybe even shorter because everyone in this community has severe ADHD
anyways i agree with halfway on this post. but i don't think psychologists are really pushing a morality. they have to use diagnostic criteria. does this person chronically lie? do they have a history of violence? etc.
it doesn't really matter what kind of environment you put the sociopath in, the usefulness of the term lies in its ability to describe a predatory person, specifically one who is predatory in their own community. it's a personality type that regularly crops up and people have to deal with it; that's why the label exists
you can argue that lying is moral if you want. but society doesn't want you to lie to them, so that's why it's useful to be able to call someone a sociopath (so they can warn the rest of the group). the therapist is usually trying to make sure you are socially integrated, and lying is considered counterproductive to that. but i don't see it as a moral judgment for them to say it might not be a good behavior
Why am I here, you ask?
I don't really know.
I guess it's best described as a tragic comedy. I mean, this is what SC is and has always been.
I do not like being in the spot light. But I seem to get there often anyway. Because I always do what has to be done, no matter the odds.
If I use your definition of morality, then I find most people here from immoral to pathetic. A few some are really cool.
I do not care for morality however(because it is as you said the standard and that's useless), but I do have my set of rules. But even if I find someone to be pathetic by my own standards, I try not to judge them from my point of view, but their own. In the odd cases where people get in my way however, that may change.
