I noticed this and wondered myself. At first I assumed it was because of my frequent coffee consumption, past Adderall use, and overall speedy and high energy personality that translates to high time perception. But then I did some research and found that the older you get, the longer it takes for images to shift, so your one time unit in your head becomes several time units in reality as time goes on, especially when you are older and your visual perception degrades.
