Time machine

It's kind of a shame that we have such a limited time.

We can't travel backwards in time, but we can travel forward in time. There's this thought experiment in special relativity in which there are two twins, one of whom travels to space on a high-speed rocket and returns home, and finds that the other twin has aged significantly.

If you had the chance, would you take a high-speed rocket to fast-forward a few hundred years? All your relatives and friends will be dead, and you can never go back.

I couldn't mainly because of the uncertainty of how much would change. Especially since I couldn't go back. I'd only go forward in time to see if something were to happen that I could prevent. Maybe if all my goals in life become null. Then I'd consider.

It would certainly be interesting to see what the world would look like, but if I had more certainty of how different the world would become, then I'd consider. Especially if it were in my best interests somehow to do so. Like, if the future world is Humanity falling into another age of strife, and I still maintain valuable knowledge (This of course is questionable at the moment) then I could be a savior to man. That is all hypothetical, and I'm not claiming to be worthy of such a destiny or title.

I would in a heartbeat. I trust in humanity to progress further in the future.

A shadow not so dark.
