I've found that it's those who suspect they'd perform badly in bed that tend to want younger partners who don't know the difference, with increasing severity the younger their partner is. Even the notion of an intact hymen is meant to sell that they've never tried it, and that you could fuck up and they wouldn't even know the difference (without porn or something anyway). 

The kinkier people who are more about taste tend to look for more experienced partners.

Hypothetically speaking, how is someone who's only 16 supposed to know and have experience with the things I like? 

Basing around college anyway, it seems like people really find themselves sexually closer to 20+.

Me too, but this seems more like a power thing stemming from a fear of one's individual autonomy. Training otherwise is just a matter of repetitions and clear communication. 

Even calling women whores is effectively stating to the world that you don't think it'd be difficult for them to leave you. People are lonely by nature, and have developed a ton of bullshit systems to legalistically justify tying others down.

In the end it stems from an insecurity that resonates with enough people to have seen as against the status quo to insist people grow past it, similarly to how Japan doesn't want you to sit with your feet facing them to the point of having signs on trains to warn foreigners. The only thing that makes it less shameful to admit to said loneliness is over how it's a shared characteristic across the majority of people.

Trust issues kick in before puberty dude. 

I personally enjoy having baggage that can be ruffled around, it's boring and shallow if they otherwise lack it. 

I think it's also a power thing, most 16yo are having sex within their age range  15-19 because these are their peers and therefore are somewhat equal in standing.  I agree with what tc said in that those type of people tend to want an inexperienced partner usually to feel better about themselves and not so much because this person is just so mature for their age. 

In position of power or trust these things should be completely punished because that just falls under the category of grooming.
