Do you go after other disorders as a deflection over feeling like your own are being targeted? 

It's very classic Narc to go for who or what they see as beneath them in the hierarchy to assure themselves that they aren't at the bottom of the totem pole. It's why they justify so much with Ad Hominems, they think "Well at least I'm not that guy!" is a real defense.
