I stretched back normally and now my neck and back have hurt for days.

As the title says, all I did was stretch back like one would do when waking up in the morning. For some reason, now my upper back and neck have been in pain when I move or turn my head for over a day now. I'm beginning to think this is at least urgent care worthy.

My Cuz’s advice (he’s an orthopedic surgeon) has been when I’ve been in similar situation is to skip primary care and call a PHYSICAL THERAPY center myself. If you have insurance it should be covered. They will know what to do for you. And if more serious they will refer you to doc.

You were just going to get a referral for physical therapy anyway.=)

What's your posture like when you're studying? Sounds like maybe a pinched nerve? really the only thing to do is get rest and sleep, take some anti inflammatory meds and it typically goes away on its own in a few days. If you can't bear it, do as med says.

I think his back hurts due to stress. There have been a lot of familial issues as of late. However, it's possible I don't know what I'm talking about  as I cant seem to get his back to stop hurting. I have tried everything for my dear husband's back, we tried giving him a warm bath while I ran warm water on his back and massaged it, and I also tried massaging it with lotion. I tried having him stretch in certain ways, nothing. My poor cutie pie is in pain; I called his doctor but no answer, however I took the liberty to leave a message. It is so quiet at the moment here, I am not overwhelmed in the least bit by any cacophany of insolent noises. The presence of other people isn't even a mental hurdle i have to deal with atm. For a split second I was stressed out even thinking of the overwhelming rate required to deal with others. A silence like this is so rare; I sometimes miss the solitude of solitary confinement. However, I am concerned that it has made me unable to function at full capacity in every day life.

 Right...

Well his neck and back is going to keep hurting for a few days, rest and sleep with some ibuprofen or aspirin. If he really thinks to see a doctor talks should go

Yes, however, UNFORTUNATELY his school's schedule does not allow him bed-rest during the day very often.
