The whole thing is very odd to me

it took one cop to take him down, and it was more of a peaceful like “oh okay, I’m getting arrested now. Guess I’ll lay down.” Casual, slow, take down. Wasn’t very difficult at all, he showed zero resistance. It was like he was more interested in just making a scene but, not that passionate about it or, crazy into it.

Like, I’m just gonna casually hold my gun at you, not really sure why i just think that’s what I’m supposed to do now. Idk what I’m really doing at this point. Didn’t think it this far through.

Is how it looked.

Also he wasn’t driving that fast? Like if you’re going to go on a rampage, why there? This sidewalk that doesn’t have, that many people. Like when it happened in Paris the dude chose a very populated dense area, and went much much faster. Petal to the metal.

He was going slower than the traffic on the road. Why?

And then can someone please explain to me, how he just ran over 15 fucking people, and the cop decided NOT to shoot him in the head? He repeadetly drew his gun very quickly, in America that dude would of been shot so quickly, the second he pulled the gun out?? Or went to pull it out even. That’s just how they’re trained? To preserve their own life.

Then on top of that, this cop goes as far as to leave himself vulnerable, by reaching into his police car to turn off the siren like, as if he needed to chat with the guy.

Why does it even matter what he is saying. If he won’t get down, if he’s drawing a gun repeadetly and pointing it at you, he just ran over 15 people massacring them in a mass murder fashion, I don’t understand how this arrest was so casual and chill and peaceful.

All I can say is the cop must of perceived something immediately that told him not to kill this guy- either that or he had already decided a long time ago he would rather get shot than die a murderer? He was just at traffic cop so maybe he just truly froze or was in a bit of shock, basic training kicks in but- he’s on auto pilot. And can’t bring himself to think about his actions or what he should or shouldn’t do, what he wants to do. It’s more of like a freeze-autopilot response where he’s just doing what he thinks he should based on training but is also overruled by the innate fear of actually pulling the trigger and what will happen to him if he does?

Who knows. What was going through his head.

But, any normal cop would of shot that guy with multiple rounds.

Also, what THE FUCK ARE THOSE POEPLE DOING JUST CASUALLY WALKING AROUND WITH TWO GUNS DRAWN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.

They’re just shopping like, “oh, hey whats that- oh- I guess, something is happening? Hey.... hm. Look at that. Guess I’ll just, hm... doo-doo-doo-doo”

in America if people see an altercation like this they don’t go near it. Canadians are a whole different breed I swear.

“Eh, he drew a gun on me. Guess I’ll just, yell at him a bit see what i can do. Only cop on the scene, no big deal. Gotta turn this siren off to have a chat eh.”

“Guess I’ll just murder 15 people today going 40mph on the sidewalk. And then, draw a gun out and see what happens. At 2’oclock in the after noon eh?”

Shoppers: *blindly walks behind man who just mass murdered people and is having a gun altercation with police officer, who is screaming at him to get down, and siren is blaring less than 10 feet from them.* “where am i? Oh look, a gun. Guess that’s happening eh? Look at that, guess I’ll be on the new later eh? Haha.”

Like WHAT THE FUCK? This whole scene just looks unreal to me like.

In America, all of this would of gone down so differently.
