I hope y'all were this distressed when ya found out the UK was selling dead babies/baby body parts to the US for nuclear testing
I'm not. I'm more distressed Trump banned medical testing on fetal tissue. Those unwanted monstrosities could have actually had a purpose instead of rotting in the ground.
It's all the same to me, the mother didn't want it, the doctor didn't have the time or ability to be buying grave plots for a bunch of spermlettes ,didn't have access to incinerators, and just stored them in jars. Tbh I think that's better than say chucking it in the dumpster if you wanna do the moral shouting bit.
People weren't getting outraged when the sterilization of hundreds of native American women and people of color and people in poverty were happening without their consent but this doctor made some waterscape terrarium with a couple of fetus rejects and y'all clutching your pearls smh fam.
Let a man do his hobby, gosh!
Why do you think he stored 2400 dead babies in his garage?
What should he have done with them?
Follow the law and dispose of them properly. Maybe this cost money so he just stored them.
Fetus terrariums aren't illegal anywhere in the USA
"Indiana is one of just a few states with a law mandating burial or cremation of fetal remains after abortions. The law did not take immediate effect because of court challenges after then-Gov. Mike Pence signed it into law in 2016. A U.S. Supreme Court ruling in May upheld the law."
Up until 2016 they were getting rid of them the same way they got rid of blood and fat waste. And I doubt many funeral home would have wanted to deal with having to get rid of the little things, or if they even had the capacity with how incompetent some funeral homes are. There was the whole thing with unrefrigerated bodies, revoked licenses of funeral directors and just a general shitshow of death process in Indiana. It costs money and space to keep bodies in fridges and then again money and space to bury them. Fetus terrariums still aren't illegal anywhere in the USA and is apparently free-ish
