He made his mark.
At the end of the day, the bag is in our hearts
I disagree with a few of his positions like gun control, etc. He seems like a center liberal, which is good. Far left and far right are both bad imo.
I agree with his climate change ideas. This is off the Yang 2020 site. We need to start building nuclear plants now to meet this schedule. Power generation and transportation is 60% of the battle.
His UBI policy made zero fiscal sense and other than an increase in happiness, which is arguable, everywhere its tried has caused the job market to suffer and there's no data suggesting a correlation with GDP growth as he often states - Finland is an example of this. It would cost $4 trillion a year if it was only applied to people in poverty; that is more than 20% of GDP and something like 80% of the U.S. total tax revenue. Yangs proposals on his website says it's for ANYONE over 18, which would cost $30.4 trillion a year at the least - that's more than what the entire stock market is worth.
Now add on to that the fact he wants the Govt to pour more investment into pharmaceuticals while also regulating price, wants to immediately reduce student loan payments (not only will the govt have to pay for this but it also messes heavily with money supply), and building a zero-emission economy by 2030 which again would take govt investment.
It's ironic that he's all about 'MATH'
Never did the math on how many US citizens are over 18, but I was sure the government wouldn't be able to afford to give hundreds of millions of people 12 grand a year.
If they did pay that out, the Dems would skyrocket taxes like they usually do and while more people go broke they would think of UBI as something great.

254 million adults.

I think everyone would go broke which is why it never would have happened.

Ya, it was just a get elected ploy. I think people can see though these. At least I hope they do.
