I found a youtube video from a guy called Andrew Kirby where he follows "Marcus Aurelius' nighttime routine" - 6 principles taken from his Meditations (his private journal)
1. contemplation of the sage (what would ____ do?) - try to inhabit the character traits you admire
2. a view from above - put things in perspective, dissociate from situations emotionally
3. exercise - physical and mental health
4. meditation - control your thoughts/emotions/actions
5. review the day - identify problems and successes, mental clarity for steps to improvement
6. journaling - will "change your life"
he talks a bit about his life philosophy too and about his experience following these six principles, it's worth the watch I think, especially if you don't know much about stoicism as a philosophy yet
personally I've never been good at consistent journaling... and I'm a bit rubbish at meditation... I have done the other principles since before I knew what stoicism was tho (however perhaps not every night religiously) and I definitely think they are very beneficial, and this video kinda makes me wanna try sticking to the other two again
