When I hear the first mention of an upcoming assignment, a big one, I don't get nervous anymore. Something shifted in me when I understood that I was as fully educated in my field as I could get from my Uni. It also has to do with my personality: I'm always the group leader, I make the plan, I guide the other members of the group from step one and look over the final document to make sure it meets my standards.
I'm never in doubt because of this. I'm never waiting instruction from someone else or worried nobody will take a leadership role and have it fall on me. So, I'm always aware of what's going on. I think its the uncertainty that used to make me nervous for these "capstone"-type assignments.
my personal philosophy i guess you could draw from this: i dont like to rely on other people. I want to make sure that im completely self-reliant because if you trust solely other people, youre going to get left in the deep end.
What about you?
