What would you do if you were to vanish only to return in 5 years starting 24 hours from now? Who would you say goodbye to? Would you tell anyone? What would your 24 hour period look like?
You can consider you simply get transported 5 years into the future after those 24 hours are gone.
I'd tell some of my online friends, I'd tell my best friend in real life, and then I'd just prepare, maybe watch a movie, a few videos, or play some games to pass time, talk to my friends. Tell them to still be around when I get back.

I'd try to leave some kind of cryptic note before disappearing, one where disappearing would resonate as some sort of mystery.
Phasing out of reality for five years has to have some room for Urban Legend perks. If the disappearing was flashy or otherwise visible, it'd be neat to have people watch it happen to further the mysticism and leave further clues for others to waste time on.
Like imagine being in a fight with someone, and part-way into fighting you vanish. There's so much mindfuck potential based on how much I know in advance.
TLDR: I'd make it about how other people'd respond to it.
