I am receiving plenty of guidance and doing plenty of my own research on my path, but getting trustworthy advice from sociopath community or any of the members thereof is never something I try to do

I prefer to seek out professionals in whatever field I have an interest in, usually ones with degrees or the highest certification possible and who in general have a positive helpful wise energy to them

If I am going to be doing my own research instead I will choose sources that are highly reputable

its just my personal preference

I don't mean to offend, ask yourself this- would you trust advice from members on SC as gospel truth?

The other thing is, as with any religion, Wicca has many different covens and offshoots and variations these days

It is similar in comparison with Christianity, where there are all different denominations, and the more modern evangelical Christianity

Modern evangelical Christianity may stray pretty far from its roots and only keep the very basics of the religion as part of its doctrine while ignoring a lot of the rest, but at least they aren't you know like fighting in wars and brutally torturing people like in early Christianity:p evangelical Christianity, as long as they keep their religion as a free personal choice instead of trying to shove it down others throats, is a lot better than its older versions, as  far as morally ethically etc

I'm not saying the same is true for Wicca, but I see no harm in millenials and zoomers putting a New Age spin on it and mixing the 2 to create eclecetic Wicca /Neowicanism

Yes there are dangers to everything, but witchcraft honestly isnt that dangerous lol unless you start fucking with trying to manipulate others free will or cause harm. If that is your true intention than yeah you need a lot more instruction and guidance to not hurt yourself in the process

but basic white magik? (magik is magik, I am just calling it white to generalize and imply no ill will or manipulating the free will of others) its harmless lets be real

in fact........it teaches people how to protect themselves spiritually which is awesome and empowering. All humans should have access to that type of knowledge, not just iniates of some secret hidden coven

....IN FACT, Gerald Gardner the founder of Wicca wrote his first books about witchcraft against the wishes of the coven he was initiated into!! They were very upset and uncomfortable with it hahahaha

If a few people are dumb enough to jump headfirst into black magik tho with no idea what they are doing......and really fuck themselves up, well yeah that sucks but there are always going to be a few dumbasses

that doesnt mean the rest of humanity should be cut off from witchcraft knowledge and thank goodness Gerald Gardner agreed with me on that otherwise none of you would have ever even heard of Wicca :)

The 13 Principles of Wiccan Belief

Written and compiled by George Knowles

It has been said many times, and I myself can be quoted saying “Wicca has no high authority, no single leader, no prophet and no bible to dictate its laws and beliefs”. Yet in America during 1973–74, an attempt was made to uniform and define the many differing beliefs across the many paths and traditions prevalent at that time. A short-lived alliance of contemporary witches was formed under the aegis of the ‘Council of American Witches’ spearheaded by Carl Llewellyn Weschcke.

Weschcke believed that a common set of principles and definitions encompassing the many paths and traditions in America, would ultimately help to dispel many of the myths about Witchcraft, and distinguish it from Satanism and other misconceptions in the eyes of the general public, and such as was proliferated though the general press media.

As happened, some 73 or so representatives from the many paths and traditions convened in Minneapolis during the autumn of 1973. They formed the ‘Council of American Witches’ and Weschcke was nominated as chairman. Through his publishing company Weschcke published a newsletter called ‘Touchstone’ which the council used to collate information about their many differing beliefs.

After many difficulties and altercations, by April ’74 the council was able to unify a general set of principles loosely acceptable across the many traditions operating in America. Based on this, Weschcke then wrote and defined ‘The 13 Principles of Wiccan Belief’.

The 13 Principles of Wiccan Belief:

1. We practice rites to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life forces marked by the phases of the Moon and the seasonal Quarters and Cross Quarters.

2. We recognize that our intelligence gives us a unique responsibility toward our environment. We seek to live in harmony with nature in ecological balance offering fulfillment to life and consciousness within an evolutionary concept.

3. We acknowledge a depth of power far greater than that apparent to the average person. Because it is far greater than ordinary it is sometimes called ‘supernatural’, but we see it as lying within that which is naturally potential to all.

4. We conceive of the Creative Power in the universe as manifesting through polarity – as masculine and feminine – and that this same Creative Power lies in all people and functions through the interaction of the masculine and the feminine. We value neither above the other knowing each to be supportive of the other. We value sex as pleasure as the symbol and embodiment of life, and as one of the sources of energy used in magical practice and religious worship.

5. We recognize both outer worlds and inner, or psychological worlds sometimes known as the Spiritual World, the Collective Unconsciousness, the Inner Planes etc – and we see in the interaction of these two dimensions the basis for paranormal phenomena and magical exercises. We neglect neither dimension for the other, seeing both as necessary for our fulfillment.

6. We do not recognize any authoritarian hierarchy, but do honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who have courageously given of themselves in leadership.

7. We see religion, magick and wisdom in living as being united in the way one views the world and lives within it – a world view and philosophy of life which we identify as Witchcraft – the Wiccan Way.

8. Calling oneself ‘Witch’ does not make a Witch – but neither does heredity itself, nor the collecting of titles, degrees and initiations. A Witch seek to control the forces within her/himself that make life possible in order to live wisely and without harm to others and in harmony with nature.

9. We believe in the affirmation and fulfillment of life in a continuation of evolution and development of consciousness giving meaning to the Universe we know and our personal role within it.

10.Our only animosity towards Christianity, or towards any other religion or philosophy of life, is to the extent that its institutions have claimed to be ‘the only way’ and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practice and belief.

11. As American Witches, we are not threatened by debates on the history of the craft, the origins of various terms, the legitimacy of various aspects of different traditions. We are concerned with our present and our future.

12.We do not accept the concept of absolute evil, nor do we worship any entity known as ‘Satan’ or ‘the Devil’ as defined by Christian tradition. We do not seek power through the suffering of others, nor accept that personal benefit can be derived only by denial to another.

13.We believe that we should seek within Nature that which is contributory to our health and well-being.

Due to Weschcke's efforts these principles were later incorporated into the army's 'Chaplains handbook' for use in the U.S. Army. Shortly after this achievement the Council of American Witches disbanded, this due mainly to the difficulties inherent in reconciling differences among its many member traditions. The 13 Principles of Wiccan Belief lived on however, and today many American Witches continue to endorse it.

you definitely dont seem happy or peaceful

I sure am though :) I prefer to live and let live and not to get in arguments with girls 3 times younger than me when I'm supposed to be acting like a respectable adult woman :)

(especially when she never asked for my opinions or guidance and blatantly ignored everything I had to say when I decided to intrude upon her sharing her experiences on a forum, not asking for guidance of any sort but simply just sharing her decisions and experiences)

I'm very happy, actually. I had a great holiday with a nice big tree and family. My son loves his new laptop.

The one thing that went wrong (I got sick with a cold) is better, now.

Who's arguing? And who's 3 times younger than me? lol You're 35ish, aren't you?

You posted smthg on a public forum and I responded bc you're a batshit borderline trying to do magic.

I figured I have a duty to your potential victims, if not to you.

I stopped offering input after about page 15 of this thread lol That was when I realized that you're too self absorbed to try to leak your astral crazy on to somebody else. I'll thank Hecate for that protection, bc I doubt your sensibilities are evolved enough for you to be responsible for it.

I spat back at your ad homs with a few of my own, but that had nothing to do with you practicing Wicca, and everything to do with you being an obnoxious, slandering twat.

Why would I keep giving valuable advice to somebody who behaves like that?

My credentials are better than you realize, but once idiots like you and the others here start to blah blah at me about them, I stop talking about what I know bc idgaf about what some rude person on a forum for assholes believes is a proper set of credentials. People with knowledge and interest in a given subject are usually able to spot like minded people. I could not care less about impressing a bunch of baby narcs.

And yeah, you asked for it.

You posted a thread on a public forum and expected what?

That you'd just be allowed to spam and spam like blanc and her weird abuse monologues?

No such luck, here lol

^  When did I ever argue with any of that?

I merely pointed out that your constant posturing and name calling completely undermines what it's really about.

Even tho I know the things you've said about me are not true, if you believe them,  you're carrying around enough poison to ruin everything you're trying to achieve.

The premise of your ad homs come from a school of thought called "The Great Chain of Being," and it reared its ugly head most notably in the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas.

This particular school of thought is the antithesis of everything you've just copied and pasted here. It works with Wicca about as well as a $25million Manhattan condo works with a Marxist collective.

All acts of negativity
will now return to thee

All bad you try to send my way
upon your own self will hold sway

All actions, thoughts and words of hate
become your own decided fate

By all up high , the worlds and wise
by oceans wide and deep blue skies
by day and night, and powers three
this is my will, so must it be.

Harm to none, nor return on me.
