What practices (if any) do you use to psych yourself up/get excited/revved up?
I don't.
Some things hype me up, but it was never my decision. Even then, it was mostly over novelty and it wears off quickly.

I think only other people or their work can do that on the most part, either by good news I can look forward to or something I really appreciate. If I get myself hyped up, it's because I'm scoring a goal.
This makes it sound like you're the product of your environment and achievements.
